Frequently Asked Questions
What are your areas of expertise?
I bring expertise across a range of creative and technical domains, including Innovation, UX, UI, Design Systems, User Research, Interaction Design, Agile methodologies, and Information Architecture. I also leverage various AI tools to support and enhance my design process. In addition, I have extensive experience in Customer Service, Administration, and process improvement, which provides me with a broader perspective and strengthens my approach to user experience.
What would you say is your design process?
In an ideal scenario, my design process is as follows:

- Discovery - Research: The scope of these methodologies can vary widely depending on factors such as project scope, budget, available internal resources, timelines, and more. The ultimate goal is to gain a deep understanding of both user needs and business objectives.
- Discovery - Design: based on the discovery research, create different design solutions and review it with development, product, and stakeholders.
- Early testing: testing the different design solutions to get user feedback and polish the designs before implementation.
- Technical refinement: once we have the final design ready for handoff, it is time to refine it technically within the developement team.
- Iteration: After the refined design is developed and released externally, we evaluate its performance using metrics tools such as Mixpanel, Google Analytics, Hotjar, and others. The depth and scope of this evaluation depend on various factors, including budget, available internal resources, timeline, and more.

That said, the process may vary depending on the type of company, the specific project, and the business goals. I strive to follow the standard approach outlined above, but when that isn’t possible, I adapt it to work within existing constraints and still achieve the most optimal results.
What analytics tools and KPIs do you use?
To gather meaningful insights, a combination of qualitative and quantitative data is essential. For quantitative research, I leverage tools such as Mix Panel. However, understanding the underlying motivations: the “why" requires qualitative research, using methodologies like usability testing, one-on-one interviews, the System Usability Scale (SUS), and tools such a Hotjar and Useberry. Specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are defined by the product team to ensure alignment with the business goals and acceptance criteria.
Who are your design heroes and favorite apps?
One of my greatest influences is David Travis, a PHP psychologist and user experience strategy specialist who has been active in the field for over 30 years. His expertise in research and UX is invaluable, and his book Think Like a UX Researcher continues to inspire me every time I revisit it. I also deeply admire the innovative and human-centered approaches of Don Norman, renowned for his seminal design books, and Jakob Nielsen, particularly for his work in establishing the Usability Heuristics. In terms of digital products, I draw inspiration from apps like Spotify, YouTube, Uber, and Netflix. Their user experiences are exceptionally polished, which explains why millions of users are so engaged and loyal to their platforms.
“I don’t like this design,” so what do you do?
Certain client feedback is often influenced by strategic business considerations. For example, the belief that a overly simplistic solution might miss revenue opportunities. I carefully listen to their input and ask clarifying questions to uncover underlying motivations and fully understand their perspective. I then consolidate this feedback and explore feasible alternatives taking into account the development team vision, and still always advocating for usability and a user-centered approach. Considering all angles, I refine the design for the next implementation iteration, recognizing that creating an optimal solution requires balancing business objectives, technical feasibility, and a commitment to delivering the best possible user experience.
How do you face accessibility?
A thoughtful design approach proactively incorporates accessibility by following WCAG guidelines and considering the diverse needs of all users, including those with disabilities, varying ages, cultural backgrounds, or contextual limitations. This involves creating interfaces that are intuitive, readable, and navigable, using features like screen reader support, captions, voice commands, and scalable typography to ensure every user can interact with the product effectively and comfortably.
Are you a freelancer or are you looking for a role?
I am open to both work modalities, with the key priority being to join an exciting project or company where I can contribute meaningful value to the product while continuing to grow and learn. I am particularly drawn to projects with a positive social impact, roles in the music industry, or initiatives involving animal care. That said, I am always happy to consider other interesting opportunities as well.
Are you available for relocation?
I am based in Valencia, Spain, where I currently work, but I am open to relocating depending on the nature and opportunities of the project.
